Initial situation
Growing global competition makes companies constantly enlarge and innovate their product a service portfolio. In both regions, there exist so called innovation impulses whose potential remains utilised only partly. Previous projects have shown that South Bohemian and Upper Austrian companies and research organisations can achieve helpful synergies when the cooperation is set properly. The project is focused on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) whose share on research, development and innovation is relatively small when compared to large enterprises.
Project goals
The overall project goal is to strengthen the support for innovation processes management in SMEs on both sides of the border.
Specific goals:
- Creation of a services tool for innovation processes (SIP)
- Pilot verification and modification of the SIP tool in cooperation with SMEs
- Creation of a public software on-line platform for using the SIP tool
Short description of the project results
Designed and verified SIP tool will be useable as a methodical assistance for a continuous innovation process management in SMEs. The developed SIP tool shall support regional and inter-regional linking of SMEs and research organisations in order to utilise innovation impulses. SMEs from both regions will be involved to the project to pilot verification of the SIP tool and its possible modification. The final version of the tool will serve as a background for creating a software application published on the project website. Thank’s to this, the SIP tool will be available even out of the programme region.
